CALLCOTT, Maria, Lady (1785-1842). Author.
Autograph Letter Signed ('M Callcott') to 'My dear Agnes', 1 page 8vo, no place, 11 March 1841. Complaining of ill health and the return of the haemorrhage which had previously plagued her, explaining that she is unable to write more because of her afflictions.
A ruptured blood vessel sustained during a long Italian tour in 1831 had left Lady Callcott a confirmed invalid. She was to live for only another year and a half.
