DEBENHAM, Frank (1883-1965). Geographer and Antarctic explorer.
Typewritten Letter Signed ('Deb') to a colleague, Colin [Harrison], 2 pages 8vo, 19 Millington Road, Cambridge, 8 November 1951. Concerning the publication of 'Study of an African Swamp', a Colonial Office White Paper based on field work in what was then Northern Rhodesia.
Debenham was the geologist and cartographer on Scott's last expedition of 1910. He later became the director of the Scott Polar Research Institute and professor of Geography at Cambridge.
