Goethe sends a parcel to Carlyle

GOETHE, Johann Wolfgang von (1749-1832). German poet.
Letter Signed, with autograph subscription, 2 pages 4to (weak in the folds, some browning), no place, no date [probably Weimar, June 1831]. Giving instructions for a parcel which he has sent by mailcoach to be forwarded to Thomas Carlyle in Edinburgh.
' ... A box has gone off with the post coach to your address, sewn into grey linen with the inscription H.P. et Comp Hamburg, and when that is removed there is beneath it black waxcloth wrapped round the box with the inscription H. Th. C. Edinburgh; please send this free of carriage to Mr Thomas Carlyle at 21 Comley Bank there. ...'
