EINSTEIN, Albert (1879-1955). German-born theoretical physicist.
Lithograph portrait by Josef Charl, signed by Einstein in the lower left hand corner and by the artist in the lower right hand corner, 500 x 430 mm (20 x 17 inches). Head only in black on a cream ground. With two pencil sketches of Einstein's hands by Charl, signed and identified by the artist, 1946 and 1950, ca 230 x 325 mm (9¼ x 12½ inches) and 325 x 450 mm (12½ x 18 inches).
