BERLIOZ, Hector (1803-1869). French composer.
Letter Signed ('H. Berlioz' in pencil) to Jules Simon, 1 page 4to, (splits in folds professionally repaired), Paris, 28 August 1850. Signed with fifteen other members of the Comité de l'Association des Artistes Musiciens for example, Joseph Lockroy and Achille Comte. Celebrating the actions of the 25th of August.
The Association des Artistes Musiciens had been founded in 1843 by Isidore Justin-Séverin, Baron Taylor (1789-1879), who has prominently signed the present letter. Berlioz was one of the original forty-six member. Jules Simon (1814-1896) was a prominent academic and republican.
