BRITTON, John (1771-1857). Antiquary, topographical & architectural writer.
Autograph Letter Signed to L. Cubitt, sending two portraits of himself (no longer present), 1 page 8vo, no place, 19 November 1834. Oxford Dictionary of National Biography lists five or six different engraved or printed portraits of Britton besides the oil painting by J. Wood and a drawing by W. Brockendon.
