GRENVILLE, George (1712-1770). Prime Minister 1763-1765.
Conclusion of an Autograph Letter Signed to an unnamed correspondent, ½-page 4to, the address of origin, Bolton Street, and date, 18 April 1769, pasted to the foot. Soliciting a promotion, apparently for his particular friend [John] Brathwaite, who had previously commanded the troops at Bencoolen (a possession of the British East India Company).

Although the letter is trimmed all round there are nine completley legible lines on the reverse side to the signature.
