RHODES, Cecil John (1853-1902). Businessman and politician.
Autograph Letter Signed ('C.J. Rhodes') to 'My dear Macdonald', 1 page 8vo, Groote Schuur, no date.

'Kindly look after the bearer Mr Ivan Muller put him up at club and take him to the Matopos.'

This may perhaps be to Rhodes's factor (J.G. M'Donald) at his estate of Matopos, which ultimately became Rhodes's finally resting place.
