Autograph Letter Signed to the editor of the Academy, 1 page 8vo with a three-stanza autograph poem on a conjoint leaf, Trinity College, Cambridge, 8 November 1884. An early letter, submitting his translation of Heine's poem Wo? (included), and offering further contributions if desired. 'I venture to enclose, over the page, a translation of Heine's exquisite little poem called Wo?. It is to be found at the end of vol. 16 of his complete works ... I may be tempted to send you some more versions of an author especially dear to me.' The letter is tipped to the remains of an album leaf.
