GOSSE, Sir Edmund (1849-1928). Poet and man of letters.
Autograph Letter Signed to 'Dear Theodore', evidently connected with the Cambridge Review, 1 page 8vo with blank leaf, 29 Delamere Terrace, 18 February 1885.

'Today's Cambridge Review announces my first lecture this term for the 25th. It should be Saturday the 28th. Will you kindly correct this in next week's number?
Further, as you probably copied the printed announcement, wh[ich] I have not seen, will you further oblige me by letting me know whether the same mistake is made there, or no?
With kindest regards to yourself & Chamberlain.'

No letters to any Theodore, other than Watts-Dunton, are recorded in 'A Catalogue of the Gosse Correspondence in the Brotherton Collection', 1950, and it seems unlikely that he could be the correspondent in this case.
