Autograph Letter Signed to an unnamed correspondent ('Dear Sir'), 1½ pages 8vo, Weston Lodge, 10 October 1879. Offering to write some notes of introduction for a drawing.
'I have found this black and white drawing of "Twilight" ... Pray let me know whether it is to be engraved by a Frenchman or an Englishman as I wish to write a few marginal notes of introduction - and will do so in the language most likely to be clearly understood by the engraver.'
