PARKER, Louis Napoloen (1852-1944). Musician, playwright, and inventor of pageants.
Autograph Letter Signed to Robert Barr, 3 pages folio, Pageant House, Bury St Edmunds, 25 June 1907. A lengthy diatribe refuting Barr's less-than-flattering observations about the Bury St Edmunds pageant, insisting that it involved no professionals and no profit was made.
'... Every part at Bury is played by an actual inhabitant. We have absolutely not one professional actor singer or dancer. There are 2000 performers and 200 speaking parts. ...'
