DICKENS, Charles (1812-1870). Novelist.
Signature, subscription ('Faithfully yours'), and most of an address, probably torn from a letter and mounted on cream card then re-mounted on blue card. The letter originated from Devonshire Terrace, York Gate, Regents Park. The word 'Thursday' can still be seen, but the rest of the date is tantizingly only partially visible.
The signature is characteristically dramatic. The ink is brown, indicating that it was probably written prior to 1850.
