Document Signed at the head, 2 pages folio with paper seal, given at St James's, 18 February 1915, countersigned 'For Great Master' by Kitchener. Granting to Robert Fanshawe the 'dignity of a companion (Military division) of the Order of the Bath'.

Fanshawe (1863-1946) was a General during World War I, commanding the South Midland Division from 1915 to 1918. He fought at Ypres, the Somme and Ancre.

Kitchener signed in the place of the Great Master, Arthur Duke of Connaught who was in Canada serving as Governor General.
