Autograph Letter Signed to an unnamed correspondent (evidently a doctor seeking employment at Rugby), 2 pages 8vo, no place, no date The signature is written on the third side. Explaining that, notwithstanding the praise he has heard concerning his correspondent, he is unable to employ him at the school.

'... I may assure you with truth, that when I originally wished the Boys to be wholly under Messrs. Buckmills' care, I meant no disrespect whatever to Mr Torrance, but I simply thought it best to have the School under one medical Attendant. ...'
