FRANCK, César Auguste (1822-1890). Organist and composer.
Autograph Letter Signed to a friend, 2 pages 8vo (note of identification and date '1887' on the reverse of the second leaf), no place, no date [?1887].

Explaining that a few problems have cropped up in relation to the performance of 'Le Chasseur maudit' on 3 March, namely that [Elie-Miriam] Delaborde has declined, and that Mme Godchau will play together with his cousin Mme Monval, but unfortunately she is not well and would like to postpone for a fortnight to give her more time to practise.

Chasseur was first performed on 31 March 1883. The present letter perhaps relates to the version for piano 4 hands, published in 1884.
