Christmas Card, 13.5 x 18 cms. (5½ x 7¼ inches), bearing a colour reproduction of Churchill's painting Avignon-1925. Signed under the message of greetings on the inside, evidently late in life 'With Christmas Thoughts and Wishes [printed] & Love to you both from Clemmie [in ink]'.

The card was sent to Churchill's close friend and literary assistant Sir William Deakin and his wife. The envelope is not included.
