Two Autograph Letters Signed to Mrs Phipson, in all 6 pages 8vo, 12 Trafalgar Square, Chelsea, 2 and 5 May 1875. Attempting to arrange a meeting during Mrs Phipson's short visit to Hampstead, and regretting that such an eventuality failed to take place ('I must hope for better luck next time').

'... Some lovely flowers came to me this morning: am I indebted to you for them, I wonder? If so, pray accept my best thanks for them: if not, I fear the kind friend who sent them must remain unthanked ...'
