GALSWORTHY, John (1867-1933). Novelist and playwright.
Autograph Letter Signed to an unnamed correspondent ('Dear Sir'), 2½ pages small 4to, Hotel du Moulleau, Gironde, 27 February 1913. Returning a play and commenting on it.
'... For the aesthetic stage the play is not of any value, I mean it would have no chance. For the purely commercial I'm afraid I can't tell you. ... I should advise you to send it in, and see.
'Cut out your soliloquies and asides - they are out of date. ...'
