Autograph Letter Signed to [Sir William Boyd Dawkins], 2½ pages 8vo on black-edged paper (two holes in second leaf and light staining not affecting the text), 12 rue Turenne, Paris, 21 September '1868'. The recipient, a fellow geologist and palaeontologist, and the year are provided in pencil in another hand.
Discussing several species of cervus [red deer] including the Cervus Sedgwickii, named after Adam Sedgwick (1854-1913, zoologist).
