Autograph Letter Signed to Mrs ?Truldjo, 2 pages 8vo, St John's Wood Road, 10 August 1864. Begging her forgiveness for ignoring for so long her note and promising to call on his way to his studio some morning 'and take you away with me' - you will then not wonder at my sin being a nightmare!')
'... I have been very unwell and forgetful lately - overworked, no appetite or sleep. Cannot yield to advice to leave London, as my colossal promises must be fulfilled. ...'
