Autograph Letter Signed to L[uigino] Franchetti in Oxford, 2½ pages 8vo with envelope, on writing paper of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Sheffield, 21 June 1913. Congratulating Franchetti on his first class honours degree ('the only First Class of the year').
'... Will you soon, I wonder, find leisure to write something for the general public upon Italian literature? I hope so ...'
Franchetti went on to have a successful career as a distinguished pianist.
