GIACOMETTI, Alberto (1901-1966). Swiss sculptor, painter and poet.
Autograph Letter Signed in French to a friend, 2 pages small 4to on conjoint leaves, Paris, 21 March 1962.
Thanking him for three letters and for all the kind things said about himself. Giacometti was delighted to discover several books waiting for him on his return to Paris the previous Monday. He complains that he is writing like a twelve-year old child, unable to say what he wishes, and looks forward to seeing his correspondent before long.
Letters of Giacometti very rarely appear for sale.
