GEORGE VI (1895-1952). King of Great Britain, Ireland, and the British Dominions. Personal Christmas Card for 1920, bearing an autograph message opposite a small photograph signed 'Albert'. 115 x 178 mm. (4½ x 7 inches) overall. The photograph shows the prince head and shoulders in naval uniform. 'Bertie', as he was always known to his family, was christened Albert Frederick Arthur George, and used the name George only when he ascended the throne on the abdication of his elder brother, then Edward VIII, in 1936.
