Autograph Letter Signed to Mr Browne, 1 page 4to (tipped to an album leaf), 18 Hyde Park Gate, 18 April 1930. Agreeing to lend his head of Paul Robeson for exhibition at the Globe Theatre.
'... I look forward to seeing Robeson whom I so much admire on his first night of Othello. It will be a tremendous event I know...'
A portrait bust of Paul Robeson by Epstein (1928), presumably the work in question, is now in the York City Art Gallery (by purchase in 1955).
