DUNSANY, Edward Plunkett, 18th Baron of (1878-1957). Writer.
Autograph Letter Signed to an unnamed correspondent ('Dear Sir'), 4 pages 8vo (traces of old mount to foot of last page), Dunsany Castle, 28 August 1924. With letters from his mother (Ernle) and his wife (Beatrice).
Apologising for delaying an answer ('partly due to the difficulty of accurately and usefully answering your question'), and urging the greater soundness of 'things like fables, wise saws and "copybook maxims" over their modern equivalents.
The accompanying letters are from his mother to Mr Hilton Nash, giving him consent to go over Charlborough Park, 14 May ['1915'], and Lady Dunsany to Miss Bristowe, declining an invitation from the Lyceum Club, 12 February 1924.
