Autograph Letter Signed to an unnamed correspondent ('Dear sir'), 2½ pages 8vo (a little creased), Westminster, 13 May 1845.
Explaining that it would be impossible to give his correspondent work in his own studio 'without establishing a precedent that would prove to be extremely irksome and embarrassing to me and be productive of great inconvenience as regards the future conduct of the works of the new Houses of Parliament.'
