PORTER, Jane (1776-1850). Novelist. Poem signed, 1 page 8vo, no place, 23 March 1847. The poem, 'Divine comfort in the Christians last hour', is dedicated to 'Miss FitzMaurice at Cheltenham'. A note at the head reads 'Stall' above a crossed-out note 'Bazaar' indicating perhaps that it was a fund-raising offering. The poem is written in a formal and exact hand which is not Jane Porter's although the signature at the end, despite the insertion of the word 'signed', is hers. [No: 24888]
