Autograph Letter Signed to Lady Caroline Lamb, 1 page 8vo with address-leaf (delivered by hand), 'Friday, no date, watermark 1813. Explaining that her carriage had been engaged to the whole of the previous day and discussing social arrangements.
'... We shall probably meet Tonight, but both your vanity & my prudence will give you a better partner, & myself a more retired & grave part; our dancing nights in this full world cannot often recur.'
Provenance: from a collection formed by A.M. Broadley in 1903.
