Autograph Letter Signed to Benjamin Hawes (probably the politician, 1797-1862), 1 page 8vo with postscript on the reverse and blank leaf, Stat[ionery] Office, 2 July 1844. Thanking him for a copy of his speech and asking him to obtain a number of 'heads of returns'.
Provenance: from a collection formed by A.M. Broadley in 1903.
