Autograph Letter Signed to Burgen, 1¼ pages 8vo (facing pages, a little soiled), Peel, Isle of Man, 18 June 1895. Inviting Burgen and his wife to join a party of friends for an event on 1 July.
'I want you and Mrs Burgen to join a considerable party of friends who are coming to our island on Monday July 1st, at 10.10 AM from Euston. Our Tynwald Do is on the Friday and after that you can stay or leave as is your convenience ? direct. Only you must come - I am counting on you. It will be very good fun, if only the weather keeps good.'
The Tynwald is the Manx parliament.
