Document Signed ('approved G.R.' in an unsteady hand), 2 pages folio with integral docketed second leaf (repairs to the folds), no place, 27 August 1807. Seeking approval for two military appointments.
Approval is sought from the King for Major General John Skerrett to be transferred from Newfoundland to Jamaica ('vice Major General Drummond who has permission to return home'); for Colonel Bonham to be appointed a Brigadier General to the forces in the 'Leeward & Windward Charibbee Islands vice Brereton who has permission to return home'; for Colonel Carr Beresford to be appointed 'a Brigadier General upon the Staff of Great Britain'; and for Lieutenent Colonel William Kent 'Quarter Master of the Army Depot in the Isle of Wight be in future stiled "Superintendant" of that Depot'.
