Autograph Letter Signed to [Thomas Spring-] Rice (first Baron Monteagle, at this time Chandellor of the Exchequer), 2 pages 8vo, Whitehall, 9 May 1838. Explaining that, though asked to dine by Lord Glenelg on the occasion of the Queen's birthday, he considers himself to be part of the Treasury and would therefore wish to dine with them.
A note at the head indicates that an invitation has been issued.
