Document Signed, 1 page folio (oblong) on vellum, partly printed, with revenue stamps (lacking papered seal), St James's, 25 May 1772. Appointing John Owen a lieutenant general in the army. Countersigned by Lord Rochford [William Henry van Nassau van Zuylestein, 4th earl of Rochford (1717-1781, secretary of state for the south).
