Document Signed, 1 page folio (oblong) on vellum, with blue papered revenue stamp, in good clean condition, given at St James's, 10 May 1805. Appointing Poole V[allancey] England to be a second lieutenant in the royal regiment of artillery commanded the the master-general of the ordnance. Countersigned by John Pitt, second earl of Chatham.
Poole Vallancey England was born in New Jersey in 1787. He rose to the rank of general in 1873. He died at Dover in 1884.
