Autograph Letter Signed to 'My dear Wilson' (Sir John), 3 pages 8vo on black-edged paper, Norfolk Street, 26 March 1850. Lamenting Wilson's declaration that he has been 'severed from my friendly intimacy' because of Overstone's acceptance of a peerage.
'... Am I to be thus cut by my old friends, because I was too loyal to say no to my Sovereign? And this from you of all men - you bearing that Sovereign's Commission. ...'
