Autograph Letter Signed on a postcard to Dr Paul Ertel in Berlin, postmarked Leipzig ?1913. Explaining that he was very busy with concerts and that his wife had undergone surgery. With transcription and translation.
'Very many warm thanks for everything! I enjoyed myself very, very much! I am always deep in work, with a pile of concerts to get through - in short, it is all my nerves can take!How are you? Well, I hope? My wife had to undergo a very serious operation two weeks ago! She is getting on well though, but it will be another six months before she is healthy again! With many best wishes from house to house.'
