GEORGE III (1738-1820). King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
Document Signed ('George R.' at the head), 1 page folio (oblong, on vellum), paper seal and blue revenue stamps, partly printed, St James's, 16 December 1782. Appointing John McDonald to be 'Lieutenant Colonel to his Eighty first Regiment of Foot, commanded by Our Trusty and Wellbeloved Major General William Gordon.' Countersigned by Thomas Townshend.
