Fine Document Signed ('George R.' at the head), 1 page folio (oblong, on vellum), paper seal and blue revenue stamps, partly printed, St James's, 14 June 1775. Appointing Donald McDonald to be 'Major of the First Battalion of Our Regiment of Royal Highland Emigrants commanded by Our Trusty and Welbeloved Thomas Gage'. Countersigned by George [Sackville] Germain (1716-1785).
