Fine Document Signed ('Mad' signature 'George R.' at the head), 1 page folio (oblong, on vellum), blue revenue stamps, partly printed, St James's, 12 September 1808. Appointing Donald McDonald second lieutenant in the corps of royal engineers. Countersigned by John Pitt, Earl of Chatham, master-general of the ordnance.
