Fine Document Signed ('George R.' at the head), 1 page large folio (oblong, on vellum), paper seal and blue revenue stamps, partly printed, St James's, 29 August 1777. Appointing Major Donald McDonald to be lieutenant colonel in the army. Countersigned by Viscount Weymouth (later first Marquess of Bath).
