Document Signed ('George R.' at the head), 1 page large folio (oblong, on vellum), blue revenue stamps (lacking paper seal), partly printed, St James's, 7 October 1775. Appointing John Mcdonald Captain 'of that Company whereof Frederick Bridges Schaw Esq. was late captain in our sixty sixth regiment of foot commanded by Our Trusty & wellbeloved major General Adam Gordon'.
