Fine Document Signed ('George R.' at the head), 1 page folio (oblong, on vellum), papered seal and revenue stamps, partly printed, St James's, 15 November 1794. Appointing Donald McDonald ensign in 'Our Caithness Legion of Fencible Men commanded by Our Trusty and Welbeloved Colonel Sir Benjamin Dunbar'. Countersigned by the duke of Portland, home secretary (and later prime minister).
