Autograph Letter Signed to the Rev. William Reeves, 4 pages 8vo (some discolouration on the first and last pages), 46 Montagu Square, 9 February 1860. Thanking Reeves profusely for sending copies of letters of great interest ('especially the letter from Leicester'), and relating further progress in his researches.

'... The volume in the Trinity College Library has been examined for me by Dr Todd's brother and some extracts taken - probably all that it contains ... not already published. But even in the case of published matter I find it a great advantage to have resort to the original Ms - script having more than certainly suffered from the ignorance & carelessness of transcribers & printers. ...'
