SPONTINI, Gaspare (1774-1851). Italian composer.
Autograph Letter Signed to the director of the Opéra Comique in Paris, 1 page 4to integral blank, Paris, 8 July, 1843.
Spontini had understood from the friendly conversation they had had two days ago that he would receive at home a written permission or notice that he could present himself with his wife at the Théâtre Favart - which is why he gave him his address on a visiting card. He asks for an explanation [having received nothing] and sends his regards and gratitude.
