Autograph Letter Signed and a postcard to Mrs Cecil Mangles, the letter is 2 pages 8vo (slightly chewed at the sides), Munstead Wood, Godalming, 14 May and 6 June 1931. Offering advice about propagating a plant, illustrated with a sketch, and asking for a sample.
'... it is a good shade deeper than the ones you saw here, but I have one in another place that is just one shade deeper still. Years ago when it first appeared I showed it at the R.H.S. + got an award. ...'
