MUNCASTER, Claude (1903-1974). Artist.
Four Typewritten Letters Signed to Wadkin Ltd, one to David Carter, the remaining to H. Beeston, in all 2 pages 8vo and 2 pages 4to, with copies of Wadkin's replies. Four Winds, Petworth, 1950-1951. Discussing two pictures Muncaster is making for the firm: 'Winter's afternoon near Petworth, Sussex' and 'Cuddington in Buckinghamshire.
'... You will appreciate, I know, that these are essentially "roughs" and only give an approximate idea of the sort of subjects I have in mind. They will need more consideration both with composition and colour when the time comes to paint them. ...'
 '... I am glad to say that the Show finished on a good round figure, which is most encouraging!'
