MOSLEY, Lady Diana (1910-2003). One of the 'Mitford sisters'; wife of Sir Oswald Mosley.
Five Autograph Letters Signed to Sir Arthur Bryant, in all 10 pages 8vo, Temple de la Gloire, Orsay, France, 1977-1978. Marking the beginning of their friendship when Bryant spoke at a Foyle's luncheon about her autobiography A Life of Contrasts, and charting its continuing warmth and intimacy.
'... I am still dreaming of your house and its beautiful setting - the whole thing is perfection. It is so lovely that you live there, & not some stupid bore. ...' [14 March 1978]
'... Yes Nancy's characters are alive, I do agree. As to 100 years from now one wonders, but possibly a pointer comes from the fact that people in utterly different societies (for example South Africans) really love her books ...' [14 April 1978]
The letters are signed variously 'Diana Mosley', 'Diana M' and 'Diana'.
