Long letter to the Dean of Salisbury (George David Boyle, 1828-1901), 23 July 1882, deeply regretting the death of his friend H.P. Jowett also discusses a biography ('in which no progress has been made') currently entrusted to George Grove, who was too busy with the 'Musical College'.
