'Constance Ann Herschel her lessons in Maths from her Father about 1870' [later hand], 1 volume 4to, ¼-leather (worn), 20 pages of calculations and diagrams largely in Constance's hand, together with ca 17 loose leaves of calculations in Herschel's hand, various sizes, three of them on letters addressed to Herschel, one from S. Fuller in Upper Harley Street, reporting on the observation of a comet at Gibraltar (undated). With Autograph Letter Signed to [William] Herschel from J.H. Amstead, 1 page 4to, Tring, 19 August 1809, sending him in advance of publication 'a work embracing subjects in natural philosophy' and begging his opinion.
